Chiropractor Sends Racist Threats to NYPD Crossing Guards, Prosecutors Say

By Nicholas Rizzi | March 16, 2017 1:46pm

CASTLETON CORNERS — A chiropractor is facing charges after she told NYPD crossing guards "n---ers don't belong in my neighborhood," threatened one of their kids and spit on another, prosecutors said Thursday.

Danielle Serini, 38, sent letters to two crossing guards and their superior's homes, flipped them off and threw Dum Dum-brand lollipops at them near her Castleton Corners office, a law enforcement source said.

On Sunday, Serini sent a package with a note to the 120th Precinct station house — where the women work — addressed to the supervisor with a racist note threatening one of their kids, prosecutors said.

"My next opportunity will be getting rid of you and that ugly as n---er child of the crossing guard," the note read, according to court documents.

"Keep thinking he's safe in school, but when the opportunity hits, it will with a bang. N---ers don't belong in my neighborhood ... Bang Bang! ... Enjoy the pops Dum Dum ... Don't think for one moment I forgot about the so called crossing guard that is never doing her job. In due time!"

The trouble started April 29, 2016, when Serini threatened one of the women to stop giving tickets to her patients on the corner of Slosson Avenue and Victory Boulevard, prosecutors said.

From May 2 to June 20, Serini cursed at, shouted at, flipped off and spit on two of the crossing guards and threatened to "permanently get rid" of one, according to the criminal complaint against her.

She was arrested in June, charged with stalking and had an order of protection issued against her, according to online court records.

The arrest didn't stop Serini, who continued to harass the guards and threw a lollipop at one in January, according to her complaint. She was arrested again Feb. 17 and charged with criminal contempt.

After her February arrest, Serini began to target the women's homes instead and included their supervisor in her harassment.

She sent packages of Dum Dum brand lollipops to their three homes March 7 with notes that read "Clue 1," "Clue 2," and "It ends with you," according to the complaint.

Serini was charged with criminal contempt, stalking and aggravated harassment at her Tuesday arraignment, the Staten Island District Attorney's office said. Her bail was set at $3,500.

She has been a licensed chiropractor since 2004 and is valid to work in the state until 2018, according to records.

Her lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment and no one answered the phone Thursday at the chiropractor's office.

The Patrolmen's Benevolent Association did not respond to a request for comment.
