By Ben Fractenberg | February 28, 2017 12:03pm

BROOKLYN — A public high school in Midwood was evacuated after someone called in a bomb threat Tuesday morning, according to the NYPD.

The call came in to Midwood High School, at 2839 Bedford Ave., roughly 11:12 a.m., an NYPD spokesman said. No device was found, and students were let back into the building after the search was completed, officials added.

"Midwood High School was briefly evacuated, and students and staff are safe," a Department of Education spokeswoman said. "The threat was immediately reported to the NYPD, and after a search was conducted, the building was cleared for re-entry.‎"

The school has more than 3,800 students and is affiliated with Brooklyn College, according to its website.

There were no immediate arrests.
