TOMPKINSVILLE — A pair robbed a restaurant then held up a man by knifepoint in separate attacks in Tompkinsville, police said.

The suspects hit Panaderia La Mixteca Poblana, at 104 Victory Blvd., displaying a knife and demanding money at about 4:45 a.m. on Jan. 28, the NYPD said.

They got $40 in cash from the restaurant and fled.

They next struck on Feb. 5 when they approached a 63-year-old man at the corner of Victory Boulevard and Jersey Street at 5:20 a.m. and pulled knives on him, police said.

The suspects punched the victim in the face then took his backpack, wallet, credit card, benefit card, ID and $35 in cash, according to police.

It's unknown why police waited over a week to release information.

Police described the first suspect as 5-foot-8, between 25 and 30-years-old and last seen wearing a jacket with NASA patches.

The second suspect is 5-foot 11-inches tall with braids who was last seen wearing a Nike hooded sweater.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
