Robber Pushes Mom Into Apartment and Threatens to Kill Her Baby, Police Say

By Ewa Kern-Jedrychowska | February 9, 2017 12:44pm

QUEENS — A robber ambushed a woman as she was taking her trash out and threatened to kill her baby before fleeing with $3,000 from the victim, police said.

The suspect approached the 28-year-old victim outside her home on 205th Place in Hollis roughly 1:30 a.m. on Feb. 1, according to authorities.

He grabbed her by the arm, pointed a gun at her head and forced his way into her home, demanding money, according to the NYPD.

He then threatened to kill the victim and her 15-month-old daughter who was sleeping inside, police said.

After the victim gave the suspect $3,000, the man fled north on 205th Place, police said.

He was later caught on surveillance video at a nearby Kennedy Fried Chicken on Hollis Avenue, officials said.

The suspect is described as standing 5-foot-10 with facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, a black winter hat and sandals with white socks.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
