Studio Apartments for $368 a Month are Up for Grabs in The Bronx

CLAREMONT — More than 100 apartments right by Crotona Park are coming up for grabs, with rents starting at just $368 a month for studios.

The units will be in Crotona Terrace Building B, located at 1825 Boston Road, and are available for households of between one and six people earning between $14,503 and $105,100 per year, or 30 to 100 percent of the area median income.

The building contains a total of 107 newly built units: 10 studios, 25 one-bedrooms, 58 two-bedrooms and 14 three-bedrooms.

Three studios are available for $368 a month; three will be $519 a month; three will be $670 a month; and one will be $822 a month.

Four one-bedrooms will be $395 a month; five will be $558 a month; six will be $720 a month; eight will be $882 a month; and two will be $1,254 a month.

Three two-bedrooms will be $482 a month; six will be $676 a month; five will be $870 a month; 40 will be $1,065 a month; and four will be $1,511 a month.

One three-bedroom will be $551 a month; two will be $775 a month; two will be $1,000 a month; seven will be $1,224 a month; and two will be $1,740 a month.

A percentage of units will be set aside for eligible residents of Bronx Community Board 3, city employees and people with visual, hearing or mobile disabilities.

Prospective tenants must apply by March 15 and can do so online at nyc.gov/housingconnect or request an application through the mail by sending a self-addressed envelope to Crotona Terrace Building B, 87-14 116th St., Richmond Hill, NY 11418.

The building is being constructed through the Extremely Low- and Low-Income Affordability program run by the Department of Housing Preservation and Development and the Housing Development Corporation.
