BROOKLYN — The FDNY battled a large fire in a Bed-Stuy apartment building Wednesday evening, officials said.
The blaze broke on the first floor of 739 Park Ave. near Tompkins Avenue at about 4:36 p.m., a fire department spokesman said.
Two people suffered minor injuries, but refused medical treatment at the scene and were not transported to a hospital, an FDNY spokesman said.
The fire was spread to upper floors in the the three-story building, but did not extend to any adjoining structures.
Firefighters had the blaze under control by 6 p.m.
