EAST HARLEM — Video footage released by the NYPD appears to show two men involved in a subway slashing earlier this month tossing an object in the trash.

The men apparently walked into a McDonald's restaurant at 1997 Third Ave. on Dec. 1 around 9:54 p.m. and tossed an unidentified object in the trash before leaving, according to  the video released by police.

The footage is shot minutes after two men, aged 35 and 59, were cut and sprayed in the face with Mace in a violent fight with two other men — believed to be the ones seen in the video — at the 110th Street stop near Lexington Avenue.

The brawl erupted when the 59-year-old man sat down on the northbound train and his leg touched the man sitting next to him, according to police.

It escalated when the two suspects whipped out a sharp instrument and Mace and attacked the 59-year-old and his friend, police said.

The 35-year-old was slashed in the ear and was rushed to Metropolitan Hospital, where he received 14 stitches and was released, according to authorities.

The 59-year-old had bruises on his face and was taken to the same hospital.

Police are still searching for the two suspects.

One wore glasses, a maroon jacket and black hoodie and stands 5-foot-8 inches tall. The other wore braids, black pants, a gray top and black sneakers and is about 6 feet tall, police said.
