Here's Which Streets Will Close for the Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting

MIDTOWN — Don’t try to drive to Radio City Music Hall, Saks Fifth Avenue or St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Wednesday afternoon.  

The annual Rockefeller Center tree lighting at 7 p.m. will cause gridlock on several Midtown streets, police said Tuesday.

Heavy traffic is expected after 3 p.m. when the following streets will be closed until the conclusion of the event:

► West 48th Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues

► West 49th Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues

► West 50th Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues

► West 51st Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues
