THE BRONX — The commanding officer of the 49th Precinct in Morris Park was suspended after being charged with groping a female subordinate in his office, according to the NYPD and reports.

Keith Walton, 44, was charged with sex abuse, forcible touching, official misconduct and harassment after he was arrested Friday afternoon, police said.

Walton, who was recently promoted to captain, is also dealing with a custody battle with his ex-girlfriend over their 16-year-old son, the New York Post reported.

The former CO recently told the Bronx Times his promotion was a “dream come true.”

"You feel all the hard work and sacrifice really paid off and strong support from the upper echelon of the department and the community comes through," he told the paper.

Walton was expected to be arraigned in Bronx Criminal Court. His lawyer was not immediately available for comment.
