Queens Man Who Molested 3 Kids Sentenced to 45 Years to Life, DA Says

QUEENS — A Jamaica man who sexually abused a 5-year-old, a 7-year-old and a 9-year-old over a span of almost two years was sentenced to 45 years to life in prison, the Queens District Attorney announced Thursday.

Tyron Adolph, 26, befriended the children and their parents, all of whom lived in his 116th Street apartment building, according to prosecutors. He watched the children within his home multiple times between January 2014 and November 2015, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.

“The defendant was a friend of the families of the three victims,” said Brown. “He used that friendship to take advantage of innocent children for his own sexual gratification.”

Adolph was arrested on Jan. 3, 2015 and has since been held in jail on $300,000 bail, prosecutors said.

Adolph was convicted of predatory sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child in October and was sentenced in Queens Supreme Court on Thursday, prosecutors said.

Adolph’s attorney was not immediately available to comment.
