STATEN ISLAND — A group of men broke into a Staten Island swim club in Bulls Head late Thursday, stealing about $300 and trashing the facility before leaving, police said Friday.

The group — made up of at least eight men, some of which appeared in surveillance footage to be in their late teens and early 20s — entered the Hillside Swim Club at 151 Signs Road around 10:40 p.m. Thursday, police said.

Once inside, the group damaged the facility and took the cash from an office lockbox before fleeing the scene, according to police.

The NYPD on Friday released surveillance footage from the scene.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1(800)577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1(888)57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by texting 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
