FINANCIAL DISTRICT — Smoke in the Fulton Street station caused residuals delays on the 2 and 3 trains during Thursday's morning commute, according to the FDNY and the MTA.

At 7:50 a.m., the FDNY got a call and arrived on the scene four minutes later at Fulton and William street, according to a fire department spokesman. By 8:20 a.m., the source of the odorous smoke was not found, and the matter was closed, said a FDNY spokesman.

Trains were initially diverted from the station, and then had residual delays after the incident, according to the MTA's website.
