PORT RICHMOND — A man slammed an unmarked NYPD car door into an officer's face before leading police on a wild chase, running red lights and driving on sidewalks, prosecutors said.

Officers in an unmarked vehicle saw Travis Wright, 24, driving a Yamaha Sport quad — with no registration and the VIN scratched off — at the corner of Port Richmond and Castleton avenues on July 5 at about 6:45 p.m., prosecutors said.

The officers turned the lights off and one got out of the car displaying his badge when Wright sped up and drove into the car door, causing it to hit the office in the face and cut his lip, prosecutors said.

Wright then got off his quad and got on the back of another person's motorcycle and yelled "Go, go, go," prosecutors said.

The motorcycle sped down several blocks — driving on the sidewalk and running red lights and stop signs — until they eventually reached Forest Avenue and drove the wrong way down it, prosecutors said.

The pair eventually lost the police, but officers later found Wright on Aug. 18 and arrested him.

"That was you?" Wright asked when being arrested, according to court documents. "I didn't even hit you. It was how you rolled up on me."

Wright was charged with reckless endangerment, obstructing governmental administration, unlawful fleeing a police office in a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an incident without reporting and illegal possession of a vehicle identification number at his arraignment, according to the Staten Island District Attorney's office.

His bail was set at $2,500 and he's due back in court on Sept. 26, according to online court records.

Wright has been arrested several times before, including in March when he was charged with reckless endangerment and reckless driving.

His lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
