Man Robs Livery Cab Driver After Taking Ride to Williamsburg, Police Say

BUSHWICK — An man robbed a livery cab driver of $150 after catching a ride to Williamsburg, according to the NYPD.

The suspect got in the car about 9:30 p.m. at 330 Bushwick Ave. on Aug. 11 and directed the driver to 155 Seigel St. where he threatened the 23-year-old driver by placing an unknown object to his head and demanding money, police said.

The victim suffered no injuries from the incident, officials said.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid 30s, standing 5-foot-11, with a slim build and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with multi-colored shorts, black sneakers and a gold-colored necklace.
