Shake Shack locations around the country are giving their first 100 guests free burgers Tuesday, starting at 10:30 a.m.
The quick-serve burger chain, founded initially by Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group as a food cart in Manhattan's Madison Square Park, is celebrating the opening of its 100th shack with a giveaway of single hamburgers slathered with the quintessential mayonnaise-based Shack sauce. Eater first broadcasted the delicious news Thursday.
There are 13 Shake Shack locations in New York City, with yet another coming to Penn Station in 2017.
Mets fans, take note — the deal does not include Shake Shack locations at ballparks, so the Citi Field location is a no-go.
