STATEN ISLAND — Two Staten Island hotels were robbed at gunpoint early Friday, police said.

The suspects, who appear to be teens, first hit the West Shore Inn, at 2600 Veterans Road West in Charleston, at 4 a.m., where they took out a gun and demanded money from the worker inside, according to the NYPD and ABC7.

The suspects left without any cash, police said.

The pair then went to Willowbrook Ramada Inn, at 535 Gannon Ave. North, at 6 a.m. and demanded money from the worker while threatening him with a gun, according to authorities.

The suspects made off with $700 from the cash register and safe, police said.

No injuries were reported in either of the incidents, police said.

The Ramada Inn was the site of the fatal stabbing of a mother and her 4-month-old and 1-year-old daughters in February, which drew attention to a controversial program to house homeless families in hotels around the city.

After the stabbing, Mayor Bill de Blasio said he would phase out the use of hotels as homeless shelters and the last families were moved out of hotels in Travis in July.
