Taser-Toting Robbers Shock Victim in Washington Heights, Police Say

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — A pair of robbers with a taser shocked and punched a pair of victims on the same day, police said.

The men, who were both described in their 20s, first struck on Monday when they approached a 46-year-old man on 162nd Street and Fort Washington Avenue. at approximately 1:30 a.m., police said. One of the men shocked the victim with the taser and then both began hitting the victim, ultimately robbing him of his cash, jewelry and car keys. Police said the victim refused medical attention at the scene.

A few hours later at approximately 5:30 a.m., police said the men struck again in The Bronx, this time approaching a 28-year-old man near Bruckner Boulevard and Pugsley Avenue.

One of the men, police said, displayed a gun, while the second man showed the taser and robbed the victim. Police couldn't confirm what was removed from the victim, but said he was not injured. 

Police said one of the suspects, who is approximately 5’10” and 220-pounds, was wearing a white t-shirt, gray shorts and a dark cap. The other man was wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts and cap, and is approximately 5’8” and 180-pounds.
