Steinway Street Shooting Victim Dies From His Injuries, Police Say

ASTORIA — A man who was shot in the neck during an argument on Steinway Street early Sunday morning died from his injuries two days later, according to police.

Qsaun Brown, 23, of Brownsville, died Tuesday after being critically injured in the shooting, which took place just after 4 a.m. Sunday on Steinway Street near 28th Avenue, police said.

Brown had been in a verbal dispute with two men on the street when one of the assailants handed a gun to the second suspect, who fired several rounds at Brown, striking him once in the neck, according to police.

The suspects fled south on Steinway Street, officials said. The case has been reclassified as a homicide.

The first man is described as between 20 and 30 years old, 5-foot-10 and 220 pounds, wearing a white T-shirt and red shorts, according to police.

The second suspect is between 5-foot-10 and 6-feet tall, 200 and 220 pounds and was seen wearing a light-colored baseball hat, black T-shirt and dark pants.
