CLAREMONT VILLAGE — A shirtless man followed a 13-year-old girl into her apartment and sexually assaulted her at knifepoint in The Bronx on Thursday afternoon, police said.
The unidentified suspect followed the girl into her apartment near Jennings Street and Intervale Avenue at around 1 p.m., police said.
He then pulled out his knife, demanded money, forced her to perform oral sex and tried to rape her, according to police.
The shirtless man stole the girl’s backpack and fled eastbound on Jennings Street.
Video surveillance in the building caught the suspect in the building elevator. Police described the suspect as about 18, standing at 5-foot-8-inches and last seen wearing black pants, black slippers with white socks, a light-colored backpack and a red item of clothing over his shoulder.
