GOWANUS — After flirting with a number of eateries, Threes Brewing has decided to tie the knot with one restaurant.

The combination brewery, bar and event space at 333 Douglass St. will end its kitchen residency program and partner permanently with The Meat Hook starting July 11, Threes Brewing announced this week.

The Meat Hook, the well-reviewed butcher and sandwich shop in Williamsburg, will serve sandwiches and grilled meats; the exact menu is still being developed, Threes said in announcing the new partnership.

Since opening a year and a half ago Threes Brewing has hosted a rotating roster of guest chefs who took over its kitchen for weeks at a time and served food from some of the city's most popular restaurants. Roberta's Pizza, Franny's and DBGB all did stints there.

The program worked well, Threes Brewing said in an email this week, and drew in customers who were curious about the food.

But "when we took a step back and assessed overall experience at Threes, we realized it was time to make some changes," the owners said in an email.

"We believe that with a steady partner in the kitchen we can provide a better experience for our guests — not to mention our staff, who have had to open a new restaurant every few weeks!"
