FINANCIAL DISTRICT — A 19-year-old told his girlfriend "I am going to kill you," before stabbing her in the stomach at a FiDi cafe Monday morning, prosecutors said.

Walter Xicay, 19, was charged with second degree attempted murder, along with assault for stabbing his girlfriend inside Koyzina Kafe at 7:30 a.m. on June 27, according to police and a criminal complaint with Manhattan DA's office.

Employees of the William Street cafe told the New York Post that the 25-year-old victim, also a cafe employee, had recently broken up with Xicay. He showed up Monday morning trying to force a conversation with the woman, then allegedly "snapped" when she would not speak with him, the Post reported.

According to the Post, Xicay also came with the lyrics to a Spanish love song written up on piece of paper in his wallet.

The woman was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

Xicay is being held on $100,000 cash or $40,000 bond bail. He's due back in court on July 1.

His court-appointed Legal Aid lawyer did not immediately return request for comment.
