UPPER EAST SIDE — A Long Island man with a history of harassment and assault charges was arrested last week for repeatedly calling a local synagogue with bomb threats, authorities said.

William Glen, 40 of Elmont, first called the East 65th Street synagogue, Temple Emanu-El, on June 6, saying he was going to bomb it, according to the Manhattan District Attorney.

Glen made three more calls, which went to voicemail, on June 18, stating in the messages that he was going to "kill f---ing stupid Jew," put a bomb in the synagogue and "murder your whole f---ing family," prosecutors charge.

Representatives for Emanu-El did not immediately return a call for comment, but told JPUpdates.com that it is grateful to the NYPD for its responsiveness and help.

Police didn't have information about what times of day Glen called the synagogue.

He was arrested on June 23 at 12:35 p.m. at the 7th Precinct on the Lower East Side, and charged with aggravated harassment in the second degree as a hate crime.

NYPD's Hate Crime Task Force Unit had been investigating the incident, authorities said.

At his arraignment on Friday, the judge set bail at $50,000 cash/$75,000 bond. He is being held at the Manhattan Detention Complex and is due back in court on Wednesday.

His attorney declined to comment on Monday.

Glen has a record that includes an aggravated harassment arrest in 2014 and an assault charge in 1995, police said.
