HARLEM — A woman had her iPhone snatched by a bicyclist as she hailed a cab, police said.

The victim, 51, was trying to flag a ride after leaving a business on East 116th Street at 9:20 p.m. on June 20 and stepped into the street when a man about 19 years old rode by on a bike and grabbed her phone, police said.

The suspect then fled down 115th Street towards Second Avenue in East Harlem, police said.

The suspect was described as having a short black afro. Police said they tried to locate the phone though Find My iPhone, a tracking app installed on the device, but were unsuccessful.

Police said no arrests had been made as of Monday.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
