FORT GEORGE – A 42-year-old woman was raped at knifepoint while walking through a local park on her way home, police said.
The woman was walking through Gorman Park near 190th Street on Tuesday, May 17, according to police, when a man grabbed her from the back and took her behind a set of stairs located inside the park.
Police said the man held a knife to the woman’s neck, removed her pants and raped her before leaving in an “unknown direction,” according to police.
The victim went to the hospital two days later, but refused a test kit, police said. She reported the incident on Monday, June 20.
The man, who is described as 6-foot-3 and 290 pounds, was wearing a black hoodie, blue sweats and black sneakers, police said.
