Fatally Shot and Stabbed Man Found in Brooklyn Elevator, Police Say

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A Queens man was found shot and stabbed inside a Brooklyn elevator early Sunday, police said.

Police found Brian Lewis, 26, bleeding heavily inside an elevator in the lobby of 1615 Fulton St. near Marcus Garvey Boulevard, around 12:40 a.m. Sunday, according to officials.

Lewis, of Rockaway Park, Queens, had five gunshot wounds and multiple slashes to the torso, police said.

He was taken to Interfaith Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, officials said.

The motive of the attack is unknown, according to an NYPD spokesman, and no arrests had been made as of Monday afternoon.

The investigation is ongoing.
