DUMBO — A man was punched and robbed just outside Brooklyn Bridge Park by a group of men, including two teenagers, last week — another incident in a series of fights involving teens in the park, police said.

The group of roughly nine men approached the 20-year-old victim as he was walking out of the park near Doughty Street and Furman Street near Pier 1 on May 18 at around 5:25 p.m., according to a police report.

The victim fell to the ground after he was punched multiple times in the face.

Two teens, both 16-year-old boys, were arrested in the incident, police said.

A $200 iPod, a Just Don hat worth $500, a $15 bottle of cologne by Calvin Klein and a $10 phone charger were stolen in the robbery, police said. The property has not yet been recovered.

Several fights involving teens from outside the neighborhood have broken out in Brooklyn Bridge Park in recent months, police have said.

Police have also taken steps to proactively shut down the sports courts at Pier 2 in expectation of violent brawls in the park, Deputy Inspector Sergio Centa, the 84th Precinct's commanding officer, said last week.

The incidents have drawn concerns from Brooklyn Heights residents.

"Brooklyn Bridge Park is my number one priority right now," Centa said at the May 17 meeting.
