RED HOOK — Police are seeking the public's assistance in the investigation of last week's fatal slashing of a mother in Red Hook, authorities said.
Sharon Whigham, 51, was found dead on a bench outside the Miccio Community Center at 110 W. Ninth St. in the early morning of May 19, police said.
She was slashed across her throat in what officials have deemed a homicide.
Police have released a photograph of the victim. No arrests have been made.
