The Big Apple remembers.
After "Game of Thrones" fans learned the origin of popular character Hodor's name on Sunday night's episode — as well as his heart-wrenching fate — a mock subway ad referencing the tense final scene popped up on Reddit.

As viewers found out, the name Hodor — which is also the only word the loyal manservant has spoken throughout the entire series — is actually a truncated version of "hold the door." (We'll save you the convoluted explanation of how this was revealed, including the use of mind control through the fabric of space-time.)
Naturally, this led led to an avalanche of reactions on social media.
