MIDTOWN — A thief stole more than $500 worth of high-end liquor from the Palm Restaurant after entering through a door that had been left open, the NYPD said.

The suspect entered the steakhouse, at 250 W. 50th St. between Broadway and Eighth Avenue,  through an employee entrance that had been left open at around 6:45 p.m. on May 14 and went behind the bar, an employee told police.

Once inside, the thief took a $32 bottle of Tanqueray gin, two bottles of Bombay Sapphire gin valued at $28 and $32, a $37 bottle of Makers Mark bourbon, a $40 bottle of Crown Royal whiskey, a $36 bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey, a $197 bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label whiskey, a $50 bottle of Johnnie Walker Black Label whiskey, a $36 bottle of Botanist gin, and a $21 bottle of Bacardi Silver rum, police said.

He stashed the bottles, valued at $509 in total, in his backpack and a sack, the NYPD said.

The manager of the Palm Restaurant did not immediately respond to a request for comment Friday.
