JACKSON HEIGHTS — An 18-year-old man was stabbed in the back Monday evening after he was attacked by a group of men at Travers Park, police said.

The victim was attacked by seven to 10 males at around 8:10 p.m. on May 9 inside the park, on 34th Avenue between 77th and 78th streets, according to the NYPD.

When he tried to run away, he was stabbed in the back, police said.

He was allegedly asked by the group if he was in a gang, and was attacked when he said "no," according to a report by WABC.

The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition, and told the station,"Thank God I'm still alive."

The attack is still under investigation, police said.
