VIDEO: Teen Suspects Sought for Assaulting Woman in Crown Heights

CROWN HEIGHTS — Police are looking for two teenagers who attacked and tried to rob a 27-year-old woman in the neighborhood late last month.

The woman was walking on Schenectady Avenue near Dean Street in Crown Heights at 7:42 a.m. on April 28 when the two male suspects came up behind her and demanded her belongings, police said.

One of the suspects simulated a firearm, police said. When the woman refused to hand over her property, the suspects — who are between 13 and 15 years old — punched her repeatedly in the face and fled on foot empty-handed.

The police department released surveillance footage of the pair on Monday that shows the suspects walking along a sidewalk. Both are between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10 with a slim build. One was last seen wearing a gray hoodie and red sweatpants, and the other a black hoodie and black pants.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers hotline at (800) 577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish (888) 57-PISTA (74782).
