FINANCIAL DISTRICT — A restaurant known for its casual, vegetable-heavy American fare and cozy atmosphere is on its way to the Financial District.
Westville, which has four locations in Manhattan, is slated to open at 110 Wall St., the restaurant's owner Jay Strauss said at a recent Community Board 1 meeting.
The eatery has grown a loyal clientele with its simple, fresh dishes, like grilled chicken with seasonal vegetables, burgers and salads.
CB1 gave the 19-table restaurant its support for a liquor license bid. Westville plans to be open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
It will also have an outdoor seating area, inside the pedestrian arcades along Water Street that are now in the midst of a rezoning debate in City Hall.
The restaurant is slated to open in January 2017.
