EAST VILLAGE — A pair of luxury condominium buildings have hit the market on East 13th Street, with units starting at a “realistic” $2.35 million, according to developers.
The Amirian Group and Bridgeton Holdings have officially launched sales for their joint venture Thirteen East + West, located at 436 and 442 E. 13th St. between First Avenue and Avenue A.
The doubled-up building design was dreamt up in hopes of introducing an unprecedented luxury to the formerly bohemian neighborhood, said Amirian Group founder and president David Amirian.
“The two building structure is unique in character, and brings a new sense of indulgence to the East Village,” he said in a press release.
The 6-story buildings will each hold five full-floor condominiums with private outdoor space, as well as ground-floor “maisonettes.” Every unit has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a home office and floor-to-ceiling windows to let in the sun, according to developers.
The buildings will be topped with sprawling penthouses starting at $3.4 million, each including an indoor fireplace, outdoor kitchen, and single-car parking garage.
Amirian said the price tag on the units are low enough to cater to East Village residents who want to stay in the neighborhood without breaking the bank.
“We were sensitive with pricing as we wanted to appeal to families, who wanted to stay in the area, and we wanted to stay below a certain threshold,” he said. “We were more realistic with our prices at this time of the cycle.”
Construction on the two buildings is slated for completion in summer 2017.
