BROOKLYN — A resident of an East New York group home annoyed by his neighbor's loud music stabbed the man to death Wednesday night, police said.
Camryn Ariyun, 21, was playing his tunes in his apartment at the Institute for Community Living at 684 Livonia Ave., near Vermont Street, minutes before 11 p.m. when his next-door neighbor, Miguel Cordona, 21, came over to complain, an NYPD spokesman said.
The two men started arguing and Cordona pulled a knife and stabbed Ariyun in the torso, police said.
Ariyun was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital, police said.
Cordona was arrested at the scene on charges of manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
The Institute for Community Living building, which opened in 2012, houses young adults and provides services for those struggling with mental illness, substance abuse and homelessness, according to its website.
Officials with Institute for Community Living did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
