LOWER EAST SIDE — Artistic Bernie Sanders supporters will host a political gallery show at 312 Bowery inspired by the man himself, with all proceeds going to the candidate’s presidential campaign.

“Artists for Bernie Sanders” is a nationally touring art exhibit featuring works both promoting the Sanders platform and highlighting current political and social issues at the forefront of the candidate’s crusade — giving gallery-goers the opportunity to engage with the hot topics through art.

“As Sanders continues to force the debate on critical issues affecting all Americans, artists play a crucial role in allowing people to engage, learn and become inspired,” the group said in a press release.

The three-day exhibition, hosted by the Sanders campaign, will draw attention to such issues as immigration, income inequality, racial justice, and abortion rights with works contributed by a wide breadth of visual artists.

And while Sanders himself will not be present at the event, his wife Jane and his son-in-law Dave Driscoll will make an appearance, according to organizers.

Some of the artwork featured in the show will be for sale at the exhibition and on Sanders’ official website, with all proceeds going toward the Sanders campaign.

The show kicks off on April 16 at 7p.m. with an opening reception, and will continue through April 18 during gallery hours.
