QUEENS — Popular shaved cream purveyor Snowdays is opening a new location in Forest Hills, which is expected to start operation by early summer, according to the real estate firm, Eastern Consolidated.

The new location at 72-24 Austin St., near 72nd Road, will be Snowdays' fourth brick-and-mortar location and second in Queens. The company is hoping to open by the end of May, and should be operating before the hot weather hits.

“After visiting the neighborhood at different times of the day and studying the pedestrian and automobile traffic patterns, we concluded that 72-24 Austin Street would be an ideal place to set up shop,” said Eastern Consolidated Senior Director of Retail Leasing Joe Robinson in a statement.

“A lot is happening in this area including a Shake Shack opening on the same block and a Target Express opening a few blocks away," he said, adding that the space is across from an elementary school and near a host of restaurants.

Snowdays confection is based on traditional Taiwanese and Korean shaved ices and uses fresh, organic dairy from the Hudson Valley.

The shaved cream company is also eyeing a possible location in Brooklyn, a source told DNAinfo.
