HELL’S KITCHEN — Nearly $4,000 worth of belongings were stolen from a Hell’s Kitchen apartment while its residents were away, police said.

A 26-year-old man living at the apartment on West 47th Street between Eighth and Ninth avenues told police he left his home around 11 a.m. on March 14.

When he got back around 6:30 p.m. that day, he found the front door unlocked and noticed something amiss in the two bedrooms near the front door, police said.

Soon after, he discovered someone had opened the window in his room and forced the screen off the window sill, leaving it on the floor, police said.

All four bedrooms in the apartment had been rifled, police said.

The thief made off with a stolen Chase credit card, a $50 Timex watch and $100 Smith sunglasses, according to the NYPD.

A 23-year-old man who was out of the apartment at the time also lost a $2,500 MacBook Pro, three pairs of Ray Ban sunglasses valued at $450 and a watch valued at $275, police said.

Another 24-year-old resident was missing a $200 Michael Kors watch and a U.S. passport, police said.

A pair of Ray Ban sunglasses worth $200 and a $75 North Face backpack were also taken.

The burglar got away with a total of $3,850 worth of merchandise, police said.
