Saturday, Feb. 27
A Closer Look for Kids: Recycled, Rearranged, or Reinvented Objects
Where? The Museum of Modern Art, The Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Education and Research Building, 4 W. 54th St., Midtown
When? Saturday and Sunday, 10:20 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
How Much? Admission is free. There is no pre-registration.
MoMA is offering free tours for kids ages five to ten and their adult companions on Saturdays and Sundays. Led by museum educators, “A Closer Look for Kids: Recycled, Rearranged, or Reinvented Objects” explores how artists turn everyday objects into art.

National Parks Adventure
Where? Samuel J. and Ethel LeFrak Theater, American Museum of Natural History, Central Park West at 79th Street, Upper West Side. 
When? 2D Screenings at 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.; 3D Screenings at 10:30 a.m., and 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 p.m.
How Much? $13.50 adults; $8.50 children. 
Narrated by Robert Redford, National Parks Adventure is a celebration of the 100-year anniversary of the National Park Service. Filmed on IMAX 3D cameras, the documentary follows mountaineer Conrad Anker, photographer Max Lowe, and artist Rachel Pohl as they explore America’s spectacular wilderness including Yellowstone, Glacier and Yosemite National Parks. 

Black History Month Trolley Tour
Where? Green-Wood Cemetery, Fifth Avenue and 25th Street, Park Slope
When? 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
How Much? $20
In honor of Black History Month, Green-Wood salutes the stories of black lives in Green-Wood Cemetery. Led by historian Jeff Richman, the trolley tour revisits the lives and accomplishments of many prominent black New Yorkers, including Susan Smith McKinney Steward, the first black female doctor in New York state; visual artist Jean-Michel Basquiat and New York’s first black millionaire, Jeremiah Hamilton.

Sunday, Feb. 28
New York International Children's Film Festival
Where? Various venues across Manhattan including the SVA Theatre, IFC Center and Bow Tie Chelsea Cinemas. 
When? The Festival runs every weekend through to Sunday, March 20
How Much? Tickets can be purchased for individual screenings for $13. An all-access pass costs $450. 
Across the next four weekends, the New York International Children's Film Festival will be screening some of the world's best new films for ages 3-18. Representing over 30 countries and 15 languages, the 75 film screenings include 20 feature films and 6 popular short film programs. 

BAMkids Film Festival 2016
Where? BAM Rose Cinemas, 30 Lafayette Avenue, Fort Greene
When? Saturday and Sunday, beginning 10 a.m. 
How Much? Individual screening prices range from $9 to $14
This weekend, popular Brooklyn children’s festival BAMkids Film Festival showcases innovative and fun shorts and features from 25 countries.

Afternoon Tea & Skating
Where? Rockefeller Center, 45 Rockefeller Plaza, Midtown 
When? Available daily at 3:30 p.m. through to April 10th
How Much? Adults $45, Children (11 and under): $35
Celebrate a special occasion with a tea party and skating session at Rockefeller Center. Admission includes sandwiches, sweets and gourmet fine teas from Harney & Sons, rink admission and skate rentals.
