WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — Chicken chain Boston Market has spread its wings to Washington Heights.

The restaurant opened its third Manhattan location at 3781 Broadway, at 157th Street, last week, with a staff made up of exclusively of Washington Heights residents, said Bob Gerard, director of operations for the eatery.

“We set up a table in late September for three days, put a banner to recruit and hired 70 people from the community and area, out of approximately 500 applicants,” he explained.

The results have been “very positive,” Gerard said. “A week [after] opening, the restaurant has already received huge support from the community.”

The Washington Heights outpost marks the chain's 10th new location to open in less than a year for Boston Market, and the company is looking to continue expanding in New York and other parts of the country, CEO George Michel said in a statement.

This location marks the third Boston Market to open in New York City within the past three months, Gerard noted. The other two are located in The Bronx and Brooklyn.

The Washington Heights site is also their first and only New York location offering breakfast, in addition to lunch and dinner, although the restaurant is testing the breakfast menu at other locations nationwide, Gerard said.

Ukrania Bulling, area supervisor for the Washington Heights eatery, said she's been working for the company for 16 years, helping to run outposts in Queens and Manhattan.

"It's exciting," said Bulling, adding that she's been amazed by the response from locals. "Great community, great people."

Boston Market is open every day from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
