BROOKLYN — A young man turned himself in to police about three weeks after he beat a city bus driver in East Flatbush in late January, NYPD officials said.

Clark Thutmose, 18, who can be seen in surveillance footage released by police, reached through a barricade at the front of a bus stopped at Nostrand Avenue and Avenue D about 6:15 p.m. on Jan. 29 and repeatedly punched the 62-year-old driver, NYPD officials said.

The attack left the driver in pain, police said.

Thutmose, of Flatbush, turned himself in to the 67th Precinct stationhouse Wednesday and was arrested on assault charges, officials said. He was still awaiting arraignment later that morning.

It wasn't immediately clear why Thutmose attacked the driver, police said.
