CHELSEA — A pair of shoplifters nabbed more than $1,400 worth of over-the-counter drugs from a Duane Reade in Chelsea — including nearly $500 of the contraceptive Plan B, police said.

The two suspects entered the store at 131 Eighth Ave., between West 16th and 17th streets, around 6 p.m. on Feb. 7, a Duane Reade employee told police.

Once inside the store, the thieves took from the shelves six Prilosec OTC packs valued at $161, three Prilosec OTC packs valued at $101, four Nexium packs valued at $99, 10 Nexium 24 Hour capsule packs valued at $299, eight Prevacid packs valued at $255 and nine Plan B One-Step packs valued at $494 off before fleeing, police said.

The stolen medicine was valued at $1,409, police said.

A manager working at the Duane Reade Friday declined to comment on the incident.
