SHEEPSHEAD BAY —  A friend of a Brooklyn teenager charged with killing her mother and stepfather in their Sheepshead Bay apartment confessed to helping the teen carry out the murder, police say.

Jerry Maisonett, 28, told investigators he helped 15-year-old Destiny Garcia kill her mother and stepfather by shooting and stabbing them on Dec. 28 in the family's fifth-floor apartment in the Sheepshead Bay Houses, according to court documents.

He was arraigned in Brooklyn criminal court on Wednesday on charges of murder and criminal possession of a weapon, courts documents show.

Garcia previously confessed to killing her mother and her stepfather, according to the Brooklyn District Attorney.

Prosecutors said she shot her mother in the ear at point blank range using a .380 automatic pistol she got from Maisonett.

Sanchez, 39, was also stabbed during the attack, which took place while she was sitting in her bedroom chair.

Maisonett also helped Garcia murder Anderson Nunez, her stepfather, who died after being stabbed multiple times and shot in the arm, according to authorities.

The bodies lay in the apartment for days while Garcia partied in Times Square for New Year's Eve and stayed with her biological father, telling him she'd had had an argument with Sanchez, sources said.

Police found the victims' bodies after other family members became concerned, sources said. Garcia initially told investigators her stepdad had once tried to molest her but then said it was her mother who was abusive, sources said.

Maisonett's lawyer, Michael Farkas, said his client had known about this investigation for weeks, yet "he did not run and hide" but communicated with the police until his arrest.

"At this early stage it remains unclear what really happened on December 28th," Farkas wrote in an email. "We will be vigorously investigating this matter to determine the entire truth.”
