EAST HARLEM — A construction worker fell to his death from the roof of a 7-story apartment building at East 107th Street and Lexington Avenue Thursday, fire officials said.

The man was replacing gutters on the roof of 124 E. 107th St. when he fell, a source told DNAinfo New York. The man landed on the pavement in a narrow alleyway on the east side of the building.

"I was in the kitchen and I heard a sound that something fell, boom!" said Yolanda Disla, 52, who lives in a building adjacent to where the man fell. "It's a shame."

A spokesman for the FDNY said that the man died at the scene.

The NYPD had no immediate information about the incident.
