Pork Fest

Where: Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden, 29-19 24th Ave., Astoria
When: Starts Friday at 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at noon

The annual Pork Fest returns to the beer garden this weekend — a Bohemian tradition of  "excessive eating, drinking and dancing" in the time before Lent. It will feature a special menu of traditional Czech and Slovak pork-centric dishes, as well as live entertainment on Saturday.

Saturday, Feb. 6

The Color of Comedy

Where: Museum of the Moving Image, 36-01 35th Ave., Astoria
When: 1 p.m.

The museum is teaming up with the Black Filmmaker Foundation for this event focused on race and the media. It will feature a screening of Harry Belafonte's 1967 television special "A Time for Laughter: A Look at Negro Humor in America" followed by a discussion forum featuring a multicultural group of comedians. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here.

Community Health Forum: Take Care New York 2020

Where: Central Library, 89-11 Merrick Blvd., Jamaica
When: Noon to 2 p.m.

Get information about your community’s health and share your concerns with the Department of Health. The forum is open to the public and no registration is required.

Hands on History: Collage Homage

Where: King Manor Museum, Rufus King Park, Jamaica Avenue between 150th and 153rd streets, Jamaica
When: 1 p.m.

Learn about early African American painters and reconstruct works of art from the 19th Century into modern day collages. Participants will also get a chance to tour the museum and learn about Rufus King's role as an early abolitionist. The event is free.

Learn Dance Moves From Professional Dancers

Where: Flushing Town Hall, 137-34 Northern Blvd., Flushing
When: 1 p.m.

Learn how to pop and lock, step, break and do other dance moves from the Rennie Harris RHAW company, who will teach after performing at the Flushing Town Hall. Tickets are $7 for adults, $4 for kids and free for members with tickets to the 2:15 p.m. show.

Share Your Writing at Queens Library

Where: Peninsula Library, Beach 94th Street and Rockaway Beach Boulevard, Rockaway
When: 2 p.m.

Share your creative work — whether it's a poem, song, or a short story — at this creative event held monthly at the Peninsula Library branch.

Super Puppy Bowl Watch Party

Where: Q.E.D. Astoria, 27-16 23rd Ave., Astoria
When: 6 p.m.

This Super Bowl party has something for everyone: football fans can watch the game in the back of the space, while the animal lovers can catch the Puppy Bowl up front. Pizza, chicken wings and beer specials will be available.

Deepak Chopra: The Future of Well-Being

Where: Queens College's Colden Auditorium, 153-49 Reeves Ave., Flushing
When: 2 p.m.

Chopra, the author of more than 80 books, creates a "roadmap for higher health," based on the latest findings in mainstream and alternative medicine. He will also address questions on the current state of science and our understanding of consciousness. Tickets range from $39 to $79.

Learn About the Japanese Kimono

Where: Flushing Library, 41-17 Main St., Flushing
When: 2 p.m. 

Learn about the 1,000 years of history the kimono represents at this event hosted by expert Emi Kikuchi. There will be an explainer on how they are worn and moved in, and wedding kimonos will be on display.
