LOWER EAST SIDE — A man was punched in the face after a stranger on the street threatened to rob him and then rape a female friend as they walked on Delancey Street, police said.

The friends were walking in front of 172 Delancey St. at about 6:30 p.m. on Saturday when 26-year-old Tokyo Smith yelled, "F--k you yuppies blocking the sidewalk, I should rob all of you," according to a police report.

Smith then allegedly turned to the 36-year-old woman and said he "should rape her," a police report said.

The man then stood in front of his friend, and Smith punched him in the left eye, police said.

Smith was charged with two misdemeanor counts of third degree assault, attempted assault, and harassment. He was also charged with false personation for initially telling police that his name was spelled "Tokeo" then "Tokao" before giving them his real "Tokyo," according to his criminal complaint from the Manhattan DA's office.

His Legal Aid lawyer did not immediately return request for comment.
