PARK SLOPE — Family favorite Bark Hot Dogs will close after seven years in business on Bergen Street, according to multiple reports.

The restaurant, at 474 Bergen St. (near Flatbush Avenue), serves kid-friendly hot dogs and burgers and touts an eco-friendly, locally-sourced business model that Park Slope parents favor. It was dubbed "a thinking man's wiener shop," by one critic.

Bark's last day of business will be Sunday, Feb. 7, Gothamist first reported.

Bark, which charges between $4.25 for a plain dog and up to $7 for smoked cheddar bratwurst, opened a location in Greenwich Village but closed it after just six months in business, Eater reported.

Well wishers wrote farewell messages on Bark's Facebook page Tuesday after news of the closing spread.

"We are so sorry to hear about your closing,” wrote one dad. “Your restaurant was a mainstay and our son loves your hotdogs. Maybe even more impressively, he LOVES your brussels sprouts.”

Bark management on Tuesday did not return a request for comment from DNAinfo.
