QUEENS — A group of fare-beaters at a Jamaica E train station shoved an NYPD officer onto the subway tracks after he tried to stop them — and then fled, police said.

The incident took place around 12:20 a.m. Sunday after two men and two women jumped a gate at the Parsons/Archer Avenue E train station without paying their fare.

When two uniformed police officers tried to stop them, one of the men pushed an officer onto the tracks.

The other officer helped his partner up while the fare-beaters escaped toward the exit and out of sight.

The officer who fell on the tracks suffered bruising but did not go to the hospital, police said.

The fare-beaters all appeared to be 20 to 25 years old, police said.

One of the men was described as 5-foot-8 and weighing approximately 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black "bubble" jacket, a blue hooded sweater, blue sweatpants and black sneakers.

Officials said the second man is about 5-foot-7 and about 170 pounds. He was wearing a purple do-rag, a white sweater with blue stripes, light blue jeans and black sneakers.

One of the women was described as being 5-foot-6 and 120 pounds. She was wearing a yellow scarf, a black coat, blue jeans and black rain boots. The other woman is about 5-foot-6-inches, about 135 pounds, and at the time of the incident was wearing a dark colored baseball cap, a black sweater and camouflage pants, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
