COBBLE HILL — Italian eatery Brucie will bid farewell to Cobble Hill this Valentine's Day weekend with a two-day party after more than five years in the neighborhood.

"As we all know by now, we will be serving our final plates of Spaghetti and Caesar Salad this Valentine's Day," the restaurant said in a note on its website.

The "final hurrah" will take place Feb. 13 and 14 with a $150 prix-fixe menu that will be served both nights.

In December, Brucie's owner Zahra Tangorra announced that the Italian eatery at 234 Court St. would be closing its doors Feb. 15.

Brucie's Valentine's Day menus gained popularity for its dishes inspired by celebrity couples like Kim Kardashian and Kanye West and Beyoncé and Jay-Z.

The eatery however has something different in mind for this year's theme.

"February 13th will be wedding themed, and Valentine's Day proper will be, well what else, a funeral.  A celebratory New Orleans style funeral!," according to the note.

Reservations for the weekend are going fast, but Brucie's will also have a heated tent in the backyard, where the festivities will continue for revelers without a seat.

And for the next two weeks, a silent auction will be held to sell off the restaurant's interiors.

But Brucie isn't going away entirely, the restaurant said.

The team members — Tangorra, Jennie Lupo and Nicole Bailey — are working to create their own lifestyle brand and blog called High Five Girl, which will continue catering and event planning services, including the restaurant's well-known lasagna program.
