Don't expect your feet to agree with the rest of your body when it comes to evaluating your misery today.

WEATHER: Temperatures will reach a high of 40 degrees today, and skies will alternate been cloudy and sunny, according to Accuweather. That means the puddles at street corners will continue to advance, challenging your footwear, but you can trade in your winter puffy coat for an autumn wool one and reflect on the days B.B. (before blizzard).

The outdoors could be much less forgiving at this time of year: the lowest temperature on record for today was set in 1925, at -2 degrees.

Holding true to the pattern we've seen over the past few days, temperatures will dip below freezing at night.

SUBWAYS: At the time of publication, all subways were running with good service. Enjoy the smooth ride, but don't bring your hoverboard; the MTA officially banned those self-balancing electric scooters from subways and station platforms Wednesday, citing the fire risk of their lithium-ion batteries.

Check here with the MTA for updates throughout the morning rush hour.

We give today a misery index of 3, slightly miserable.
