It can only get better, right?

WEATHER: That's only half true for today's weather. With a predicted high of 41 degrees — and a "real feel" temperature of 27 degrees according to Accuweather — lots of fallen snow will begin to melt during the day, only to re-freeze this evening. Expect ever-icier sidewalks tomorrow, a nightmare to walk on if you don't have the right shoes. It's hard out there for a full-time pedestrian.

SUBWAYS: At the time of publication, only two lines are running with altered service. There are no southbound 5 express trains from E 180 St to 3 Av-149 St.

Due to snow removal from tracks there is no southbound trains on B trains from Prospect Park to Brighton Beach. For up-to-the-minute updates on subway service, check here.

There are only a few ways today could be more miserable, so keeping that in mind, today's Misery Index is a 7.
